At this year’s WindExpo exhibition, held from 15-17 March at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan, Bekaert has met with delegates from the Belgian embassy to cement support for its business in Japan and the region’s offshore wind industry.

H.E. Ms. Roxane de Bilderling, the Ambassador at the Embassy of Belgium in Japan, Mrs. Saki Kuroda, Economic and Trade Officer, and Mr. Joren Kippers, Head of Economic and Trade Section, both from the Embassy of Belgium in Tokyo, expressed their support for Bekaert activities and supply chain enrichment in Japan, reiterating the importance of subsea cable development and integrity.

At the exhibition and meeting, Bekaert demonstrated its capabilities as part of its broader offshore wind strategy to go for a carbon-neutral world with its Bezinox® subsea armouring wire for subsea export cables and synthetic mooring solutions for floating offshore wind farms.
