Multinational renewable energy business RES has surpassed 1,500 support services contracts in the UK and Ireland after securing the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for TRIG’s 121MW solar portfolio following a competitive tender.
Across the globe, RES provides support services for more than 5GW of renewable energy assets for a diverse range of owners. The recent contract win will see the company manage more than 1,500 contracts across UK&I, providing project management, engineering, technical, financial, monitoring and reporting expertise to a range of wind, solar and storage projects for third party clients.
The company’s Head of Operations and Maintenance, Simon Deacon, said: “RES set out an offer to TRIG that clearly demonstrated how we would maximise yields and revenue from their solar assets through a proactive O&M service. We’re delighted TRIG have endorsed this plan by awarding RES the O&M contract for their solar portfolio.”
“Surpassing 1,500 support services contracts in the UK&I is a fantastic moment for us as a company, and a terrific validation of our expertise, but it is also a terrific indicator of how far renewables have come.
“Renewable energy now accounts for nearly a third of the nation’s electricity generation1, with that figure growing all the time in what is becoming the golden age for low cost wind and solar power.”
RES has more than 35 years of experience in renewable energy, with a 17GW global portfolio and the expertise to develop, engineer, construct, finance, and operate projects, including onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage and transmission and distribution. RES pools all that expertise and experience to deliver significant cost savings and efficiencies to our partners. A recent report by DNV GL has shown that wind farm assets managed by RES perform 1% better than industry standard.
